10. TT13 technical considerations and future plans

1) Why not use Audio-Technica’s higher-end cartridges (blue/green)?

As our first turntable, TT13 required extensive R&D. Our auto-tonearm was developed/tested with AT-3600LA for stability. We are now testing AT-VM95C/E cartridges for potential TT15 use.

2) Why not make direct-drive turntables?

Direct-drive turntables would increase cost/price significantly. As our first turntable, belt-drive offered the most reliable option.

3) Will you make direct-drive models in the future?

It’s technically feasible (unlike cassette decks). If TT13 succeeds, we will develop higher-end models.

4) Will you consider using Ortofon cartridges?

We haven't contacted them yet. If demand exists, we will explore options.
