9. How to upgrade the firmware of QX13?
The QX13 contains two types of firmware: XMOS firmware and MCU firmware.

Steps for MCU firmware upgrade(Update supported by MAC/Windows/Android mobile phone):
1) Connect the computer/Android mobile phone’s USB to the side USB port of the QX13.
2) Enter the QX13’s menu, find the “USB-OTA” option, and switch it ON.
3) The computer/Android mobile phone will recognize a mobile hard disk drive with a capacity of about 2 MB.
Android mobile phone:

4) Copy the QX13 firmware file into this drive.
5) Reconnect the USB to power cycle the device. The QX13 will then enter upgrade mode. Once the upgrade is complete. Once the upgrade is complete, the QX13 will restart automatically.
Steps for XMOS firmware upgrade(Update supported by MAC/Windows):
For the XMOS firmware upgrade, please connect to a computer through USB.
Note:
If the upgrade fails or disconnects midway, please reopen the upgrade tool and try again.
For Windows computer:
1) Before upgrading, please confirm that the USB driver is installed on the computer. If not, download and install it from https://forum.fiio.com/note/showNoteContent.do?id=202105191527366657910&tid=17
2) Download the required firmware from the official website: https://forum.fiio.com/note/showNoteContent.do?id=202510241833175605750&tid=17
3) Download the firmware and unzip it on your computer.
4) Connect the computer’s USB to the main USB port of the QX13, and disable EQ.
5) Open the XMOS upgrade tool from the unzipped files.
6) Once the device is detected, click “Start” to begin the upgrade. Wait until the progress bar completes to finish the upgrade.
For MAC:
1.Download and unzip the required firmware from the official website;
2.Connect the computer's USB to the main USB port of the QX13, and disable EQ;
3.Unzip the firmware package and select the firmware package corresponding to the chip;
4.Open the XMOS upgrade tool;
5.Click 'Search'.After detecting the QX13, click'Start'.
6.Wait until the progress bar completes to finish the upgrade.
