4. What is the driver configuration of the OAK NANO? What are the materials used for the included cable?
[Driver configuration] Beryllium alloy dome diaphragm
Inheriting the acoustic DNA of the legendary FIIO FD7, the OAK NANO continues the legacy of beryllium-based diaphragms while charting a new path. Beryllium as a driver material is ultra-lightweight, exceptionally rigid, and superior to aluminum or titanium. Its low damping and high sonic velocity ensure zero unwanted coloration, making it the premier choice for high-end audio. While global supply chains have made pure beryllium increasingly rare, the OAK NANO utilizes a specialized beryllium alloy that mirrors the performance and sonic characteristics of the pure metal. We have pushed the boundaries of precision engineering to reduce the diaphragm's thickness, further unleashing the material’s potential. This significantly enhances high-frequency extension, transient response, and distortion control, allowing for the precise restoration of micro-details—from the crisp strike of percussion to the delicate nuances present in vocals.
[Included cable material] -192°C liquid nitrogen cryo-treated silver-plated monocrystalline copper cable
We select 6N OCC (99.99998% pure) monocrystalline copper as our base material. This ultra-high purity conductor is inherently free of grain boundaries, offering exceptionally low resistance and high conductivity while eliminating oxygen and hydrogen impurities that degrade signal integrity.
To push electrical performance to the absolute limit, every conductor undergoes 168 hours (7 full days) of deep cryogenic treatment. At -192°C, internal stresses within the metal are completely released, allowing the atomic structure to rearrange into a more uniform, tighter alignment. This molecular restructuring ensures smoother electron flow, resulting in a sound that is remarkably clear and fluid—free from the harshness or "graininess" often found in standard cables.
The included Type-C swappable plug features a built-in DSP audio decoding chip with balanced output, supporting 32-bit/384kHz PCM hi-res audio decoding alongside 8-band precision PEQ tuning. Powered by FIIO's proprietary algorithm and accessible through the FIIO Control app or web interface, you can not only simulate or correct the headphone’s frequency response curve, but also export, import, share, and save EQ curves.
Note:
The Type-C plug currently does not support UAC 1.0.
