is versatile, and Feiao BTR5 thinks this is the optimal solution for Bluetooth earphones.
When the mobile phone cancels the 3.5mm earphone interface, listening to songs gradually divides into two factions. One is the "little tail" party, which continues to insist on wired headphones with patch wires, and the other is the "wireless" party, which gradually turns listening equipment to Bluetooth. However, for burn friends who have certain requirements for sound quality, direct replacement of Bluetooth headsets is not the most preferred, and how to easily use the equipment in hand is the optimal solution, so Bluetooth earpiece products came into being.

Feiao is a firm practitioner of Bluetooth earpiece products, and the number has been swiped from BTR1 to BTR5. With the upgrade of the number, and of course the configuration, the latest BTR5 has added a balanced output port.

The design style of BTR5 is similar to that of BTR3. The front is a 25.D curved glass and metal design. However, due to the addition of a balance interface, the body volume is one circle larger than that of BTR3. At the same time, the design of the fixed back clip is canceled. Instead, it comes with a back clip protective shell, which is more casual to use. After all, not everyone likes to clip it on the body.

Changed to the same transparent detachable back clip design as M5

Although the volume of BTR5 has increased, in fact, it is not bigger than a lighter, and it is completely stress-free for daily carrying.

Another biggest upgrade of BTR5 is to add a 0.49-inch 64 × 32 resolution OLED display screen, which can display the current connection mode, code rate and other information, which is more intuitive than BTR3, which is distinguished by the color of the lamp.

Of course, in addition to displaying connection information, you can also adjust EQ and gain through this screen, or change and set the usage mode, because the menu structure is relatively simple, so the operation is not complicated.

BTR5 continues Feiao's "stacking" tradition. In order to adapt to the new balanced framework, two ES9218P chips are inserted in such a small volume, and FPGA clock management and dual crystal oscillator are added. In order to meet the needs of USB decoding, a separate Xmos XUF208 chip is also added.

BTR5 Bluetooth part adopts Qualcomm CSR8675 scheme, Bluetooth 5.0, supports mainstream Bluetooth encoding formats such as SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD and LDAC, and is indeed impeccable in format compatibility. In order to facilitate connection, BTR5 also adds NFC function. Mobile phones with NFC can be connected with only one touch, which greatly improves the convenience.

Because of LDAC support, BTR5 is actually more suitable for Android devices. After all, AAC transmission can only be supported on iPhone at most.

Compared with Reno ACE's own earphone interface, the sound density of BTR5's 3.5mm earphone port is much better. It can feel that the amount of information has been significantly improved, and at the same time, it can also feel that the thrust has been significantly enhanced, which can better exert the strength of the earphone. The sound is basically the same style, with little dyeing, good low-frequency strength and elasticity, full voice, but the sound field is slightly smaller, and it is not bad to listen to popular voices.

However, the 2.5mm balance port is obviously much stronger. Driven by two ES9218P DAC chips, the thrust is obviously higher than one floor. The overall sound field is pulled apart. The human voice part is not so close to the ear, but it still maintains a good sense of density, the sound is more tense, and it is more suitable for dynamic and larger tracks.

BTR5 has added many playable options. To open these options, Feiao's own app -- Feiao Music is required.

In addition to the ubiquitous option of EQ equalizer, it also provides digital filter, distortion compensation, DAC frequency division coefficient and other options that can be adjusted. These are usually only available in HiFi music players. These functions are provided on BTR5, so that many people do not need to buy a special HiFi music player, and mobile phone BTR5 can get a similar experience with the player.

BTR5 also provides high gain and low gain for adjustment. The small earplugs that are not difficult to push can be used in low gain mode. The high gain mode is more suitable for some big ears that require driving force.

From BTR1 to BTR5, we can see the progress and thinking of Feiao on Bluetooth Ears. Obviously, the BTR5 introduced this time is not only satisfied with the Bluetooth decoding ear of the mobile phone, so we can see that in order to meet the needs of desktop/notebook USB decoding, it has added an independent Xmos XUF208 chip, and even added a car-mounted mode, which can be started and closed together with the car. These are some explorations made by Feiao in applicability, and this is exactly what surprises BTR5.
