  1. System navigation

There are 3 navigation ways for your preference and needs, including Gesture navigation, 2-button navigation and 3-button navigation.

  1. Multifunction button

To assign the function of the multifunction button on the left side.

Local playback: You can set the button to add to favorites, switch songs randomly, play/pause, delete the currently playing song, switch filter, switch equalizer, enter USB DAC mode, enter Bluetooth receiving mode, Lock screen/Wake up and no function specified.

In Bluetooth receiving mode/USB DAC mode, the multifunction button is always forced to be no function.

Note: This button only responds in Android mode/pure music mode, and some functions are only effective for FiiO Music APP

  1. Power-off timer

There are two types of the timer, Sleep and Idle poweroff.

Sleep

The device will automatically shut down when the time reaches the set value. It can be set to any integer value between 0 and 120 minutes. (Note that if it is turned OFF, the sleep shutdown function will be disabled.)

Idle poweroff

If the device is not working without any operation, it will automatically turn off once the timer reaches the set value. It can be set to any integer value between 0 and 50 minutes. (Note that if it is turned OFF, the idle shutdown function will be disabled.)

  1. In-vehicle mode

【Principle】After turning on the In-vehicle mode, you can connect the USB port(any C port will do) of M23 to the on-board USB port. And the M23 will power on automatically and switch to the In-vehicle mode screen when the vehicle engine starts, and power off automatically when the vehicle engine stops.

【How to set】Go to Settings->Global->In-vehicle mode, or the drop-down menu to turn on the in-vehicle mode.

(Some onboard USB ports may encounter interruptions when connecting to the M23, in which case you can try to use FiiO's USB isolator, the LA-UA1, to fix the problem.)

  1. Hold switch setting

If the HOLD switch is turned on, you can enable/disable any buttons, touch screen or the volume touch panel.

  1. Volume touch panel

a. Slide and hold for auto-adjustment

Slide up/down while holding your finger on the touch panel to continuously increase/decrease the volume.

b. Auto-lock after inactivity

If there is no operation in a period, the touch panel will be locked to avoid misoperation. Tap it twice to unlock it.

c. Disable volume touch panel

the volume touch panel can be enabled or disabled based on your needs.

  1. Volume settings

a. Max user-defined volume

Limit the adjustable volume of the volume button to a fixed value

b. Max touch panel volume

Limit the adjustable volume of the touch panel to a fixed value

Note: When the current volume is higher than the max touch panel volume, the volume can only be reduced but not increased when touching the volume touch panel.

c. Power-up default volume

Volume value of the system after power-on

Priority: Max user-defined volume ＞Power-up default volume＞Max touch panel volume

  1. Rotate screen

The display page will rotate 180° if it is enabled.

  1. Double tap to wakeup

If it is enabled, double tap the screen can wake up the M15S when it is under off or in sleeping states.

  1. FiiO Roon

Enter the Roon Ready playback interface when turned on
