6. How to upgrade the firmware of UTWS5 2025?

The UTWS5 2025 upgrade is completed on our APP FiiO Control (or FiiO Music), and it supports online upgrade and Local upgrade.

Local upgrade:

1. Both Android and iOS devices support firmware upgrade. Make sure that FiiO Control APP has been installed on your mobile phone.

2. Download the upgrade file and copy it to your mobile phone. Start the APP and go to the UTWS5 2025 Status page- Settings-Firmware upgrade- Local upgrade. On the file list, tap the search icon and select the firmware file to upgrade.

Online upgrade:

Start the APP and go to the UTWS5 2025 Status page- Settings-Firmware upgrade- Online upgrade to upgrade.

Note:

1. Please connect two ear hooks to the phone at the same time to upgrade. You can check the battery level of the earhooks to confirm the connection status through app. Only one upgrade operation is required to complete the firmware upgrade of two ear hooks.

2. Before upgrading, please take the left and right ear hooks out of the charging case.

Do not put the ear hooks in the charging case for upgrading. When put in the charging case for upgrading, the earhooks may enter the charging state when restarting which lead to the failure for getting correct command and the upgrade failure.

3. Could not upgrade the firmware of one side. If the two ear hooks are not having same firmware version, please contact the customer service for help.
