2.How to reset the device if problems happen? For example, it fails to power on or gets no sounds when playing music.
【RESET not supported】
It does not support to be reset. If malfunction happens, unplug and plug the USB cable to restore to normal performance.
【If no sounds out】
Follow the instructions below to solve it.
1) Check the settings of the current sound card device on the computer. The BTA30 needs to be selected.
2) Ensure the volume knob is in an appropriate position.
3) Make sure if you have paused the music. (The BTA30 supports short pressing the PAIR button to pause the music).
4) Under TX mode (USB-in), there will be no output for the LDAC codec connection.
5) Under TX mode (Bluetooth multipoint pairing), the 2 connected devices cannot output at the same time for LDAC and aptX LL codecs.
【The sound card device identified by the computer is not BTA30?】
The BTA30 runs driver-free. If you had ever connected a FiiO driver-free device to the computer, the BTA30 would be identified as other devices like the BTR3K. Please try to unload the Driver off the computer to solve the problem.
【After connecting the BTA30 to a computer via USB, and then connect to a Bluetooth receiver, what can be done if there is no sound?】
Connect the BTA30 to a Windows computer via USB, and then connect to a Bluetooth receiver. If there is no sound, please try to uninstall the driver off the computer.
【Uninstall Driver off the computer】
On the bottom right corner of the computer display: Click the mouse on right to call for Playback device - Properties- General- Driver- Uninstall the Driver. After uninstalling it, unplug and re-plug the data cable.
【Fail to connect via Bluetooth】
It is suggested to clear the pairing records of both the BTA30 and the Bluetooth receiving device and then reconnect them.
【How to clear the pairing】
Keep the device on (not in pairing state) and switch it to BT RX/TX mode, hold the POWER+PAIR button simultaneously for about 5s.
【How to do if no sound in coaxial/optical output mode】
1. Analyze from the input end and sound source
1) If it is not USB input, ensure to power the BTA30 via a power adapter instead of a computer.
2) Input priority: USB in>coaxial in>optical in. If both optical and coaxial are connected, the optical output will be disabled. Please unplug one of them, or turn it off on the FiiO Control app.
3) The BTA30 supports up to 96kHz via optical connection (actually it is 192kHz except for certain devices). Coaxial connection supports up to 192kHz. But there will be no sound if the sampling rate of the music file surpasses that of the device.
4) Check the connection. It is suggested to consult our support team by sending a photo of both the input and output connections.
2. Analyze from the settings of the software
1) Go to the DAC input option on the FiiO Control app to check if the USB and coaxial input are turned off. If they are, both inputs will be disabled and only the optical input can be available.
2) Check if the Digital up-sampling switch on the FiiO Control app is turned on. When it is on, all music will be output at 192kHz. If the connected DAC supports less than 192kHz, there will be no sound. So it is suggested to turn off the Digital up-sampling switch.
3. Analyze from the output source
1) Output priority: coaxial out=optical out=line-out out (under Bluetooth receiving, optical input, coaxial input). Generally, the output can be switched freely to line-out, coaxial out and optical out. If there is only one output that is normal, it means this port is having an issue.
【How to do if no sound when playing music in TX mode?】
1. Analyze from the input end and sound source
1) Ensure that the BTA30 is in TX/DAC mode.
2) Check if there are bad contacts by unplugging and plugging the adapter cable or changing it. Ensure the cable is connected appropriately.
3) Ensure the BTA30 is not powered by the computer. If it is connected to a USB, there will be no sound under coaxial and optical input modes, because the USB input has higher priority.
2. Analyze from settings of the software
1) Uninstall the driver off the computer. On the bottom right corner of the computer display: Click the mouse on right to call for Playback device - Properties- General- Driver- Uninstall the Driver. After uninstalling it, unplug and plug the data cable and reboot the BTA30.
2) Go to FiiO Control app to check if the corresponding input is disabled. For example, if the BTA30 is connected to a computer via a USB but the USB input on the FiiO Control app is disabled, there will be no sound.
3. Analyze from the output source
1) In Bluetooth transmitting mode, the PAIR light will be on continuously, which indicates the corresponding Bluetooth codec. If the light does not keep continuously on, please press the PAIR button for one time. Otherwise, there will be no sound when playing music.
2) Double press the PAIR button to switch Bluetooth codec. If it is switched to a codec that the Bluetooth receiver does not support, there will be no sound when playing music.
