5. Why does the volume on the X1 only go up to 88 with the EQ enabled?

A: To improve user experience with the equalizer, the volume with EQ enabled is adjusted to be similar to that with EQ off.  However, the possible EQ boosts (up to 6dB) may lead to severe distortion at excessive volume.  To avoid distortion and preserve a high fidelity listening experience, the volume is limited to 88 with EQ enabled.
