10.Regarding Monkey's Audio (.ape) files not being supported
A: Owing to complicated algorithms employed in .ape decoding,

it is impossible to decode .ape in real time at the highest compression levels and highest bitrates. The X1 / X5 supports decoding of fast, normal and high compression levels at up to 24bits/96kHz (ie Extra High and Insane compression levels not supported for playback); at 24bits/192kHz only Fast compression decoding is supported. If you find your .ape file to be at an unsupported compression level / sample rate combination (eg by examining the file's properties in foobar2000), you may re-encode the file to a supported .ape compression level or even another lossless codec (eg FLAC) with no loss in quality.
