4. Instructions of DM13's buttons and ports
Power button: Long press to turn on or off. When powering on, short press the power button to check the power and working status. For example, BAT4 represents the battery level is 80%-90%. The other status it will also display at the same time.
Short press the power button again to switch the output modes:
PRE OUT: analog output
USB OUT: ripping tracks or computer recording
SPDIF OUT: optical or coaxial output,
BLUE OUT: Bluetooth output
Play/pause button: You can short press to play or pause. When there are no operation after pressing the pause button for 10 minutes, the DM13 will turn off automatically.
Previous track button: Short press to return to the beginning of the current track/switch to the previous track; hold to rewind.
--If the device is a Bluetooth version, hold the Previous track button to enter the Bluetooth pairing state in BLUE OUT mode.
Next track button: Short press to switch to the next track; hold to fast forward.
--If the device is a Bluetooth version, hold the Next track button to clear Bluetooth pairing records in BLUE OUT mode, and then it will automatically re-enter the Bluetooth pairing state.
Volume up button: Short press to increase the volume by one level; hold to quickly increase the volume.
Volume down button: Short press to decrease the volume by one level; hold to quickly decrease the volume.
Function selection button: Short press to switch playback modes; hold to add the currently playing track to My Favorites; after entering My Favorites, hold to clear all the tracks in My Favorites and exit.
--Playback modes include REP ALL (sequential repeat), REP RAND (repeat randomly), REP 1 (single repeat) and REP OFF(play stop until playing the last song). After adding a track to My Favorites, short press the Play/Pause button to play it at once.
The buttons can also be used in combination operations for example:
- Press the power button and function selection button (the 1st button and the last button) at the same time to stop the playback
- Press the Volume down/up button and the Power button simultaneously to adjust the display brightness.
- Press the Previous/Next track button and the Power button simultaneously to set the screen timeout of the display.
- Long press the play button when the cover is open, you can check the software version.
- Long press the function selection button when the cover is open, firmware update could be enabled after connecting to the power supply and U disk with firmware file.
Eject button: Slide the Eject button on the side of the device to open the top otover to place or remove the CD, and press the Eject button agaito close the cover
The two headphone ports on the front are 3.5mm PO output and 4.4mm balanced PO output ports which are generally connected to headphones.
Back port:
BAL.LO: 4.4mm balanced LO output, generally connected to the speaker, amplifier
LO/COAX/OPT: optical output (OPT) / coaxial output (COAX) and 3.5mm LO output port shared
Optical, coaxial output ports could connect the devices which support optical, coaxial decoding.
USB REC: USB RECORD port for computer recording.
POWER IN: USB charging port/Connecting to U disk for ripping track
It is recommended to use 5V 2A adapter for charing. (long-term use, not recommended to use fast-charging adapters)
Desktop Mode (D.MODE) switch function
When the switch is set to ON, the Desktop Mode is enabled, and the device is powered by the USB directly without consuming battery power.
When the switch is set to OFF, the Desktop Mode is disabled, and the battery can both supply power and be charged normally.
--The battery will be charged when the device is connected with a power cable regardless of the status of the D.MODE switch.
ESP

ESP compression time after ESP pre-reading: normal CD disks ESP will have 60 seconds pre-reading, MP3 format disks will have 120 seconds pre-reading.
