26. Instruction of HDMI in and HDMI ARC function of S15
How to use the HDMI IN mode?
The HDMI IN mode of the S15 supports audio and video signal reception, as well as transmitting the received video signals to the monitor.
1. Switch to the HDMI IN mode on the drop-down menu.
2. Connect the audio device with HDMI output to the HDMI IN port of the S15, and then connect the HDMI OUT port of the S15 to the monitor to cast the display of the audio device to the monitor, and the sound will be decoded and output on the S15 (e.g., connect the computer to the HDMI IN of the S15, and then connect the S15’s HDMI OUT to the monitor).
3. When connecting the S15 to an audio device, such as a computer, you need to select the corresponding sound card device in the audio settings on the computer.
How to use the HDMI ARC mode?
1. You need a source device with ARC functionality and connect it to the S15’s HDMI OUT (ARC) port.
2. Switch the S15 to HDMI ARC mode in its working mode settings.
3. On the ARC source device, in the Settings > Audio > Output options, confirm that the current output mode is set to HDMI (ARC).
4. After playing music/video on the source device, if you don’t hear audio from the S15’s headphone output, check the HDMI ARC interface on the S15 for the sampling rate in the lower left corner. The sampling rate for ARC output is usually 48K.
5. If the sampling rate is confirmed at 48K but there is still no audio output, try adjusting the ARC volume on the source device.
