FiiO M21 Review: Quad DAC Android DAP with Desktop Mode

FiiO’s M21 is a compact Android DAP that listens like a bigger machine. The engineering choices pay off in practice: separate digital and analogue sections with dedicated shielding, split power rails and abundant capacitance give the amplifier real composure. In desktop mode the player runs entirely off external power, preserves the internal battery and opens Super high gain for up to 950 mW + 950 mW at 32 Ω via 4.4 mm balanced. The result is a confident, dynamic presentation with clean bass lines, open mids and smooth, extended treble. Day-to-day use is easy, Bluetooth is reliable and the dual USB-C arrangement keeps both desk and travel setups tidy.
