5. BR15 R2R signal input, output description

1.Input Modes and Switching

The BR15 R2R supports four input modes: USB, Optical, Coaxial, and Bluetooth. To switch between these inputs, rotate the menu knob from the main interface to enter the mode selection menu. Conveniently, the device remembers the last selected input mode and will automatically revert to it upon restart.

2.Output Capabilities and Volume Control

The volume knob on the BR15 R2R only controls the analog output levels (RCA and XLR). It does not affect the volume of the digital outputs (Coaxial and Optical).

The simultaneous output capabilities vary depending on the active input mode:

Bluetooth & USB Input Modes: Support simultaneous output to XLR, RCA Line-Out, Coaxial, and Optical ports.

Coaxial Input Mode: Supports simultaneous output to XLR, RCA Line-Out , and Optical ports.

Optical Input Mode: Supports simultaneous output to XLR and RCA Line-Out ports.

3.Coaxial Port Functionality

The Coaxial port on the BR15 R2R is a multiplexed input/output interface. Its function depends on the selected decoding mode:

When the device is set to Coaxial Input mode, the port acts solely as a digital input and does not provide an output signal.

When the device is decoding audio from USB, Optical, or Bluetooth inputs, the Coaxial port can function as a digital output, allowing you to feed the digital audio stream to another external DAC or amplifier.
