Fiio QX13 - Transparency & Power At A Cost

The Fiio QX13 ended up impressing me for reasons that I wasn't expecting. While its power output will undoubtedly grab most of the attention, what stood out to me far more was its transparency, dynamics and overall energy. This DAC won’t make your IEM’s sound pleasant and instead, it will take a very honest approach and show you both the strengths and weaknesses of your gear without hesitation. Good pairings sound excellent, while problematic pairings become equally obvious. Because of this, the QX13 rewards well-tuned IEMs much more than it fixes flawed ones.
