Explanation and Solutions for Issues Related to the FIIO FT1 Series Headphones

Dear FIIO users,

Since the launch of the FT1 and FT1 Pro, they have been warmly welcomed and have sparked a wave of mutual recommendations within the HiFi industry. We sincerely appreciate your support and affection, which will serve as an endless motivation for us to continue our in-depth research and development of headphones. At the same time, we have also received some user feedback regarding certain issues. Below, we provide explanations and corresponding solutions for these issues.

I. About the issue of screw loosening in FT1 and FT1 Pro headphones

Through analysis, we have found that in some early batches, a small number of headphones experienced adhesive failure in the pivot joint fixation. After long-term use, the screws may become loose, leading to holder detachment. In response, we have taken the following improvement measures and service actions:

1. Improve structure and remove adhesive process. Starting from batches produced on November 20, 2024, this issue has been completely resolved, and new batches of headphones will not have this problem.

2. If you encounter this issue, please contact the seller first. If they are unable to help, please contact FIIO’s official after-sales customer service by sending an email to support@fiio.com with purchase proof attached. For our authorized sellers, we will provide free screws and bear the corresponding freight.

II. About the issue of low-frequency noise or distortion in FT1 Pro

Regarding the rare user feedback on low-frequency distortion, FIIO’s Acoustic Laboratory has conducted rigorous testing on returned headphones. Our analysis indicates that, during the initial design phase, to achieve deeper bass extension, our acoustic engineers set the diaphragm resonance frequency f0 relatively low. During production, individual headphone diaphragms were slightly less taut. Under extremely low frequencies, it may result in large vibration amplitudes, which would cause distortion and noise.

However, when wearing the headphones, the sealed front cavity provides damping, which helps suppress this issue. So, whether the noise is present should be judged based on actual wearing conditions. For headphones where noise issues do occur, we have taken the following measures:

1. Conduct comprehensive inspections. Although this issue is rare, we have conducted a full inspection of all inventory headphones and performed individual frequency sweep auditory tests to ensure that all units sold are in good condition.

2. Enhanced production control. During the headphone production process, we strengthened the inspection of driver assembly and slowed down the frequency sweep speed during frequency response testing to ensure product quality.

3. Provide after-sales service for affected users. If you encounter this issue, please contact the seller first. If they are unable to help, please contact FIIO’s official after-sales customer service by sending an email to support@fiio.com with purchase proof attached. We will provide free maintenance services.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused some users. We have now fully strengthened quality control management, from raw materials and production process oversight to final product testing. Every step is strictly controlled to ensure that each product meets high standards in the industry. At the same time, we will continue our in-depth research and development in audio technology to bring you more high-quality audio products.

Best regards,
