2. What should I do if the M21 crashes or freezes? Forget Password?

Follow the measures below to see if it can help if the M21 crashes or freezes:

 

1.Force to reboot

Please hold the power button for around 10 seconds until the "FiiO"logo shows up.

 

2.Extract a LOG file

For special software issues, please extract a LOG file from the folder "fiio_log " under the root directory, zip and copy it to the homepage. Then send it to us and inform us the time of the problem for further analysis.

Or go to M21->Technical support->Online feedback to submit the problem and the log.

 

3.Fail to be charged or turned on

a. Hold the power button for about 10 seconds when it is charging

b.Try other power adapters and charging cables.

c.The battery of your device may be overused, so it needs to be refreshed through low-current power. It is suggested to charge it through the computer for more than 2 hours, and then unplug the charging cable to see whether it can be turned on.

d. If the problem still exists, please try to leave the device aside for 2 to 3 days, and then charge it again. Because sometimes its system may be stuck, it would return to normal when the device runs out of power.

4.How to enter recovery mode?

The device could to be reset to factory data mode in recovery mode if M21 password is forgotten or M21 freezes or M21 no reaction during update.

Turn off the device first. Hold the volume down button and plug a USB cable in for power supply. It will enter recovery mode after turning on. On the display, choose "Wipe data/factory reset->Yes until it finishes. Then choose "Reboot system now" to start the device.

Notes:

a.Switch menu: short press the volume +/- buttons or previous/next track button

b.Confirm: short press the power button

 

5.How to improve the system lagging after using the player for a long time?

When the system lags:

You can go to System Settings-Storage-FREE UP SPACE

 

6.When FiiO Music App or other Apps fail to work:

You can go to System Settings-Apps & Notifications-App info-FiiO Music-Storage & Cache-Clear storage

For other Apps, go to App info, find the corresponding APP and clear the storage and cache.

 

7.What should I do if the sound is very low after connecting AirPods or Bluetooth speakers to M21?

  1. Go to System Settings-Audio and find the Bluetooth volume adjustment mode.

  2. Switch the volume adjustment mode to Sync Bluetooth volume.

  3. Disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth device.

 

8.When connecting M21 to a Windows computer, the disk drive shows M17/R7, etc.?

If you have connected to M17/R7 to the computer before, this phenomenon will occur. In this case, you can right click the M17/R7 option in Device Manager to uninstall it. Reconnect M21 and it will be displayed correctly.

 

9.What should I do if I can't download the APP from FIIO Market Applications or fail to find the app I'm looking for?

The FIIO Market Applications in M21 only offer some commonly used APPs. After connecting the M21 to the internet and entering FIIO Market Applications, click the ‘Download’button below the APP to download and install it.

You can also go to Google Play or download APKpure from FIIO Market Applications. Then search the APP you want to install and install it.

If you cannot find the software you want still, you can also search and download the APK file of the desired APP on your computer, then copy it to the M21. Go to the Files APP in M21 and find the APK file to install.

If there is no response after clicking FiiO Market Applications icon or the installation fails after downloading, you can change the Wifi or click 'Delete all data downloaded ' in the upper right corner and download again.

You can also delete the cache and cached data of FIIO Market Applications from Settings - Apps - Applications.

 

10.If there is no response when you click on the FiiO Market, or if you get an installation failure prompt after downloading, you can try the following solutions

a.Switch to a different network or click the icon in the top - right corner to delete all downloaded data and then re - download the app.

b.Go to "Settings", then select "Apps". Find the Application app and clear its cache and cached data.

 

11.Does the M21 support connection to the DK1Pro? The M21 does not support the DK1 Pro.
