With its high-performance USB chip, audiophile-grade DSP, and dual Cirrus 43131 DACs, the software and hardware development teams worked hard to make the Melody reach new heights in objective measurements, heat and power consumption, as well as in subjective listening experiences.
The built-in advanced DSP enables self-customized frequency curves through the FIIO Control App or webpage, allowing for the customization of three sets of PEQ, presetting multiple PEQ styles, and saving and sharing curves on the cloud, adding some fun with others.
Dual 43131 DACs support up to PCM 384kHz/32bit DSD256 audio decoding, reproducing every last detail out of the audio signals. Additionally, the Hi-Res Audio certification ensures Melody delivers reliable sound quality.
With a built-in microprocessor and FIIO’s in-depth software development, Melody keeps heat generation within a reasonable range. It also features a user-friendly sleep mode that helps reduce the common issue of rapid smartphone battery drain during use.
3.5 SE + 4.4 balanced outputs, supports SPDIF and coaxial output
The 3.5mm SE output is highly versatile, and is compatible with in-line controls and microphones. With an adapter cable, you can also use it to output SPDIF and coaxial signals, allowing the Melody to provide high-fidelity and stable output to various professional audio and video equipment. The 4.4mm balanced output is compatible with balanced headphone cables, allowing for greater power output and more detailed sound.
Supports in-line controls with mics and call recording
The 3.5mm jack supports in-line controls and call recording. Simply use your headphones’ in-line controls to conveniently play and pause, switch between tracks, and adjust the volume.
*Note: Apple phones and some Android phones may not support in-line controls and calls due to system permissions. In-line controls and mics are supported on Huawei phones when Melody is in UAC1.0 mode.
Two volume/button modes, considerate of your needs
Melody is designed with 2 sets of volume and button modes. Thanks to the FIIO-developed algorithm and the FIIO Control app/webpage support, users can switch between these volume and button modes based on their own preferences.
RGB sampling rate indicator, view the source quality visually
An extra RGB indicator light is added to the side button with yellow/green/blue light to indicate different sampling rates, allowing real-time indication of the sound source instead of complicated checking steps.
Detachable cable, widely compatible with multi-platform support
The Melody has a detachable cable, and is compatible with Android/iOS/Windows/Mac as well as other platforms. It also supports switching between UAC1.0 and UAC2.0 modes. The UAC1.0 mode makes it compatible with non-Android systems like the PS5 and Switch for a better gaming experience.
