DARKSIDE PRO Usage Introduction
DARKSIDE PRO quick start guide:Click here
1.DARKSIDE PRO operation explained & notes and precautions
Operation explained:
1.Insert the AC power cable firmly and securely to avoid looseness or aaccidental disconnection.
2.When inserting the DC power cable, align the notch on the cable end with the protruding point of the DC output port. After it is inserted into place, rotate the locking ring clockwise to secure. Toreplace the output cable, rotate the locking ring counterclockwise to loosen it and then pull out the cable.
3.Insert the AC power plug into an outlet, turn on the power switch, and the power supply will operate normally.
4.According to the voltage requirements of the connected device, toggle the DC output voltage toggle switch to choose either 12v or 15v output.
Notes and precautions
1.This device generates heat during use. Please use it in a cool, well-ventilated environment, and do not cover it with other objects.
2.Please use this device only within the specified input/output voltage (output power range). Please do not connect it to devices that exceed its rated output power.
3.Please switch off the power in time after use, and disconnect the AC input power if the device is to be left unused for a long period.
4.This device has high voltage hazards inside. Please do not attempt to open the housing by yourself.
2.DARKSIDE PRO buttons and ports instruction

①Power switch: Turns the device on or off
②Output voltage display panel: Indicates the current output voltagee
③DC power output port: Outputs DC voltage via a power cable
④DC output voltage toggle switch: Switches between 15V and 12V ofutput; please ensure the selected voltage matches theoperating range of the connected device
⑤Output voltage fine-tuning resistor: If a slight deviation occurs in thedisplayed voltage value, use a flat-head adjustment tool to insert and turn for correction
⑥Input fuse tube: If damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified pprofessional with the correct specification; please do not
attempt the replacement yourself
⑦AC power input port: For devices with dual voltage options (220-240V~ or 100-120V~), please always confirm that the local mains supply voltage matches the input voltage label of this unit before connecting
3.Which products can be used with DARKSIDE PRO?
DARKSIDE PRO can provide 12V/15V two DC voltage outputs and can be adapted to FiiO or devices from other brands with a voltage of 12V/15V and a rated current within 12V/3A, 15V/3A.
For example, the FIIO K11, K11 R2R, K13 R2R, K15, K19, R9, R7, TT13, K5 Pro series, K7 series, Q7 are compatible with DARKSIDE PRO.
4.Can the input voltage be switched for DARKSIDE PRO?
No. The input voltage of DARKSIDE PRO cannot be switched. Please purchase the corresponding voltage version (220-240V or 100-120V) according to local voltage standards.
5.The DARKSIDE PRO has a relatively high operating temperature while working?
The linear power supply's energy conversion process generates heat. DARKSIDE PRO has a temperature rise of approximately 30°C under full load, which is a normal phenomenon. Ensure proper ventilation during use and do not cover the power supply with fabric items
6.Can I leave DARKSIDE PRO powered on for long periods?
DARKSIDE PRO can be left powered on unused if the device is to be left for a long period. However, we still recommend turning off the power when not in use for long period.
7.How to determine if the power supply is overloaded?
To determine if the power supply is overloaded, you can use the following two methods:
1.Observe the power input value of the powered device which should be less than the power output value of DARKSIDE PRO (12V/3A, 15V/3A).
2.After connecting the power, if the voltage displayed on DARKSIDE PRO is more than 5% lower than the nominal value (for example, showing 11.6V or lower when using 12V), it indicates overload, and you should stop using it immediately.
8.What are the specifications of the DARKSIDE PRO output DC power cable? How to choose if I want to purchase an additional cable?
The standard power cable for DARKSIDE PRO has an aviation GX16-2 pin plug on the end connecting to DARKSIDE PRO. The end connecting to the powered device is a DC plug with an outer diameter of 5.5mm and an inner diameter of 2.1mm, with positive polarity inside and negative outside. The wire core is 1 square mm (approximately 17AWG), and the cable length is about 1 meter.
If you need to replace the output cable, please choose one with an aviation GX16-2 pin plug on the end connecting to DARKSIDE PRO, a wire core greater than or equal to 1 square mm (approximately 17AWG), and the dual plugs configured with left positive and right negative polarity.

9.During the use of DARKSIDE PRO, the voltage does not display accurate?
The slight discrepancy in the DARKSIDE PRO's voltage display (approximately 0.1V) is a normal phenomenon influenced by voltage switching and varying loads. You can use a flathead screwdriver to adjust the V.ADJ Output voltage fine-tuning resistor on the back of the power supply to correct the display. Turning it clockwise increases the voltage, while turning it counterclockwise decreases it.
10.What are the differences between DARKSIDE PRO and PL50?
1.The O-type transformer has been upgraded from 50VA to 75VA, and a relay is used to select the secondary voltage output.
2.he filtering system has been upgraded from 4 parallel "Black Diamond" 4700μF capacitors to 5 parallel ELNA 4700μF capacitors, supplemented by 7 Rubycon capacitors and 2 WIMA capacitors.
3.The voltage regulation scheme has been changed from an integrated solution to a fully discrete component solution.
4.The exterior design has evolved from a bulky, solid look to a more streamlined, aesthetically pleasing family design. In simple terms, the upgrades encompass current parameters, filtering components, the voltage regulation scheme, and the appearance. This results in more stable and cleaner voltage output, supporting a wider range of devices.
