4. AIR AMP Power ON/OFF, Knob Controls, Menu Settings, and Remote Control Instructions

Power ON/OFF

After connecting the AIR AMP's DC power jack to the 48V power supply, press the power switch to turn the unit on. To power off, press the power switch again to pop it out. When the AIR AMP is powered on, long-pressing the volume knob or pressing the power key on the remote control will put the unit into standby mode. In standby mode, short-pressing the volume knob or pressing the power key on the remote control will wake the AIR AMP and return it to active operation.

Volume Knob Operations

Once the AIR AMP is powered on, rotate the volume knob to adjust the volume level. Rotating clockwise increases the volume; rotating counterclockwise decreases it. A short press mutes or unmutes the audio; when muted, the display will show "MUTE".

With the AIR AMP powered on, long-pressing the volume knob puts the unit into standby mode. In standby mode, short-pressing the volume knob wakes the AIR AMP and returns it to active operation.

Menu Knob Operations

1. Switching Operating Modes:

From the main interface, directly rotate the menu knob to enter the mode selection menu. Rotate the knob to cycle through the 7 operating modes in sequence: USB / OPT / COAX / LINE / BT / STREAM / LOCAL, corresponding to USB decoding, Optical decoding, Coaxial decoding, LINE IN, Bluetooth decoding, Streaming, and Local Playback. When the desired mode is highlighted, short-press the knob to switch to that mode and return to the main interface. If you decide not to switch, long-press the knob to return to the main interface.

2. Settings Menu:

With the unit powered on and on the main interface, short-press the menu knob to enter the settings menu. Rotate the knob to scroll through setting items. To modify a setting, short-press the knob; the selected item will start flashing or the display will jump to a submenu, indicating it is editable. Rotate the knob to select a different value, then short-press the knob to confirm. The setting will take effect immediately and the flashing will stop. You may then continue adjusting other settings.

In the settings menu, long-press the knob for about 2 seconds to return to the previous menu level.

Difference Between Power Switch Shutdown and Volume Knob Standby

1. Power switch shutdown completely cuts off power to the entire unit. The system is fully powered off. As long as the power switch is not pressed in again, no other operations will have any effect.

2. Long-pressing the volume knob puts the AIR AMP into standby mode. In this state, the main control circuit remains active, and the unit still consumes a small amount of power. In standby mode, you can wake the AIR AMP and return it to active operation by either short-pressing the volume knob or pressing the power key on the remote control.

The AIR AMP remote control is an infrared (IR) remote. It requires 2 AAA batteries for operation. Please ensure that the infrared receiver window (located on the right side of the display) is not blocked during use.
