15. The SP3 BT is a little warm?
It is normal for the SP3 BT's case to get hot in the primary speaker, but not in the secondary speaker.
In the design, we put all the functions and power circuits on the main board, and the secondary speaker can be understood as a passive speaker, which is connected to the primary speaker through the connecting cable from the primary speaker. So the power consumption is generated in the primary speaker, the secondary speaker is basically no power consumption!
About the heat of the primary speaker
SP3 BT is designed with two 3118 chips, the maximum power is 80W (low frequency 2 * 30W + high frequency 2 * 10W). Compared to other speakers with the same volumes, its output power is very large. So the heat dissipation of the chip is a big challenge. In order to solve this problem, we have taken the heat sink + thermal pads and the case directly connected to the way of heat conduction, the entire PCB heat will be emitted through the case, so there will be a little warm feeling when you touch it with your hand. Under normal circumstances, this temperature rise will not exceed 10°.
