Inside the M11 Pro lies two independent low phase noise crystal oscillators from Japan-based River Electec, which when working together with FiiO’s own self-developed FPGA greatly reduces any distortion when doing any audio processing and ensures the purity of audio signals in general, for further improvement to the sound.

To truly improve on the already excellent sound quality of the M11, the M11 Pro employs two carefully implemented AK4497EQ DAC chips based on the AKM VELVET AUDIO architecture. Compared to the AK4493EQ, the AK4497EQ brings better specs and actually noticeable improved sound quality.

Like the M11, you’ll only find straight edges on the M11 Pro in its purely polygonal style that looks visually arresting, yet cohesive and natural. On the left of the device you will find the gold-plated nickel letters “PRO”, hinting at the immensely upgraded components inside.

To minimize this problem, the M11 Pro supports both Qualcomm’s QC2.0 and MediaTek’s Pump Express fast charging standards, allowing the M11 to fully recharge its large battery in merely 2.5 hours! The large built-in 4370 mAh battery allows for continuous listening up to 9.5 hours, and for standby in deep sleep mode up to a massive 55 days.

Present on the M11 Pro is the modern symmetrical USB Type-C connector. Supported functions over USB include charging (with support for USB PD 2.0 chargers), USB storage, USB Audio, and USB DAC.

The M11 Pro features a deeply customized version of Android, with a highly optimized audio software architecture that circumvents SRC for global truly lossless audio. Unique to FiiO’s custom version of Android is the ability to switch between Android and Pure Music modes – in Pure Music mode, only the built-in FiiO Music app is allowed to run, for the purest music listening experience possible.

The stylish glass-backed lets you immediately make a tactile connection with the M11 Pro with just a single touch. The glass stays lustrous too, with both the front and rear glass coated with an oleophobic layer. The rear glass is also coated with PET coating, and the carbon fiber texture on the body further enhances the comfort of your grip too.

When using All to DSD mode, any PCM audio signal is converted to DSD, and then decoded to analog as a DSD digital signal – which results in a different, yet clear sound.
