The Q5s continues to use the interchangeable amp module design of its predecessor, and is fully compatible with all FiiO amp modules released thus far. The new standard amp balanced amp module AM3E is versatile, with 3.5mm single-ended as well as both 2.5mm and 4.4mm balanced outputs.

With the upgrade to the XMOS clock management system, the Q5s has unparalleled decoding capabilities over USB, SPDIF, and Bluetooth. USB supports up to 768kHz/32bit and native hardware-decoded DSD; SPDIF supports up to 192kHz/24 bit; and Bluetooth supports up to 96kHz/24 bit (under LDAC).

In addition to USB and Bluetooth decoding, the Q5s also supports SPDIF digital input and line-in analog input. The coaxial, optical, and analog line-in input are all handled through a multifunction input port that supports up to 192kHz/32 bit.

Standard with the Q5s is the all-new AM3E balanced amp module, with 3.5mm single-ended as well as 2.5mm and 4.4mm balanced outputs. Of course, the Q5s also supports line-out output.

Get rid of battery anxiety with intelligent auto-shutdown

With the automatic shutdown function, if there is no input source or there has been no music played through a connected input source after a set time (default 10 minutes), the Q5s will automatically turn itself off, further enhancing battery life and saving energy until when you really need it.

Use it worry-free with intelligent adjustment

When connected to your computer, the Q5s will automatically adjust its charging current and rate according to smart detection of the USB port's output capability. And when connected to a phone via USB, the Q5s will automatically know not to charge and draw power from it – so you can just use the Q5s free of any worries!

You no longer have to be annoyed by tiny volume imbalances between the left and right channel with ADC volume adjustment on the Q5s. The ADC curve reconstruction process effectively eliminates any channel volume imbalances that occur when adjusting the volume through a traditional analog potentiometer, and also allows for much greater precision in adjusting the volume in tiny steps.
